About Dr. Christina Charette

Dr. Christina Charette is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Georgia and North Carolina with over 20 years of experience in child development and psychological assessments, particularly focusing on children and adolescents. Now serving Centerville, Warner Robins, Perry, Macon and Milledgeville. She has conducted hundreds of ADHD psychological evaluations and Autism testing for children suspected of having Autism and ADHD. Additionally, she has supervised other clinicians in psychological testing and has presented on strategies for working with children with Autism at various state conferences. Dr. Charette has advanced training in the ADOS-2, recognized as the gold standard assessment tool for Autism Spectrum Disorder, through Emory.

Components of the evaluation

Free brief phone consultation: Discuss assessment goals and needs and answer any questions you may have about the assessment process, including ADHD psychological evaluations and Autism testing. This is a free, no-obligation consultation. If you decide to proceed, chose date and time for teletherapy/virtual intake to gather background information.

Virtual Intake: 1-hour (or less) intake to gather background information. During intake, you will choose the testing date and time that works best for you and your child (appointments currently only offered on Fridays and Saturdays), complete the required legal documents, including biopsychosocial history, and be sent links to empirically validated assessment measures to complete before in-person assessment. Fee is $100 for virtual intake.

In-person testing session: An extensive diagnostic interview with the parent/guardian, observation of the child, and formal standardized testing assessments. For concerns about Autism, the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale - Second Edition (ADOS-2), which is the gold standard required by most providers to start ABA therapy if recommended, will be conducted by Dr. Charette in a child-friendly setting. The appointment typically takes 3-4 hours and no other children or siblings can be present during this time. Half of total fee - $100 dollars due.

Results and report: Dr. Charette will interpret and integrate the data, providing a comprehensive written report of findings, typically available within 7-10 days from the assessment. This report can be used by your child's school for 504/IEP and by your child's physician.

Feedback: Dr. Charette will meet in-person or virtually to discuss the report, findings, and recommendations. Last payment due.

$900 ages 1-5/ $1200 ages 6-10/ $1800 ages 11-17

We offer clear, transparent flat-rate private pay evaluations at rates lower than others in Macon, Milledgeville, Warner Robins, and Perry. The total cost is $900 for children ages 1-5, $1200 for children ages 6-10, and $1800 for ages 11-17. Each fee includes a comprehensive assessment conducted by a licensed psychologist, a detailed written report summarizing the findings, recommendations for home and school, and a feedback session. Fees can be paid all at once or over 3 payments.

Additional costS

$125 an hour

Extra tasks beyond the initial testing session and feedback/report session, such as those related to ADHD psychological evaluations, Autism testing, or child development assessments, are billed at $125 an hour and must be discussed and approved in advance. Examples of these tasks include collateral contacts with treatment or school personnel, additional family members, completing paperwork for waivers or Social Security, and/or court testimony.

We accept cash and major credit cards, including Health Savings Account cards, for services like ADHD psychological evaluations, Autism testing, and child development assessments.

- Provide immediate access to ADHD psychological evaluations, Autism testing, and child development assessments with fast results and recommendations without waiting for insurance approval.

- Offer fully confidential reports (only you see it until you decide to share it).

- Provide higher quality testing tailored to the child instead of dictated by what insurance pays for.

We will provide a receipt or superbill so you can seek reimbursement from insurance, should you wish to do so.
